Cold nights cause pneumonia.
The health center is located at about 1500 meters above sea level at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. At this altitude, it can get very cold, even in Africa. As a result, many children and adults could develop pneumonia and die.
Providing treatment to these patients is problematic. The hospital has been struggling for a long time with very difficult circumstances, especially in the pediatric department and in the maternity ward.
Waterkiosk was able to help with the construction of a water supply system (including drinking water, toilet facilities, a new and clean treatment building, and the installation of a solar system for electricity).
As always, the residents around the hospital helped with the work and thus made a significant contribution to the success of this project.
